About Me
I am a freelance web/mobile developer with a passion for open source software and tinkering with the latest development tools.
With a traditional background in computer science, I moved my focus to the web and mobile space because I found it more compelling and I was interacting with the technology on an everyday basis.
Over the years I’ve worked for both large companies and startups. Personally, I prefer the more flexible, faster paced world of freelancing and startups. I feel these environments embrace my workflow and creativity, while allowing me to engage in another passion of mine, traveling.
I am motivated by the ability to make a difference in the world through the projects I work on.

Coming out of a Java centric college, a lot of my past work has been in the Java community. I discovered Ruby on Rails in 2008 and have been messing around with it since then. Ruby is an excellent programming language and the majority of the web development I do nowadays is done in Ruby (Rails, Sinatra, etc).
I've also been involved in iOS and Android development since their initial releases, publishing a couple apps for each framework, and developing a few other internal apps.
